Your Team
Our development model dictates that we create dedicated teams for each client. Typically, each team has a Project Manager, Business Analyst, Lead Developer, Software Engineers, QA, and, if desired, a Technical Writer. By having a dedicated team, you are assured of being able to take advantage of the team’s increasing domain expertise, while also having a closely managed project plan and full accountability. Many of our teams have been working for the same clients for years, providing comprehensive product lifecycle management.
The Xpanxion team is literally your team and there is complete transparency. Using our proprietary, web-based, Project Tracker application, you can monitor what each developer is working on, how long they are spending on each task, and what tasks they will be performing next. All project related artifacts are posted to a common, secured repository, source code is always available for review, and regular stake-holder meetings ensure open, frank communication.
Certifications and Processes
Xpanxion has adopted industry proven processes, modeled primarily on RUP and Agile, and made them a deeply ingrained part of our daily business operations. We have full-time process auditors who are responsible for ensuring complete compliance while also continually looking for ways to improve what we do. Our ISO 9001:2000 certification along with our CMM Level 4 status attests to our commitment to following processes and getting the job done right. Our success depends on your success, and we do not leave anything to chance.
Industry Certifications

Experience
From its inception in 1997, Xpanxion has been committed to instituting
the processes and procedures needed to ensure that each project
is successful and that the success can be repeated with each new
endeavor. With many years of experience in the software development
industry, the founders of Xpanxion know the pitfalls inherent
in software projects and also understand the challenges of developing
software off-site. To meet these challenges, Xpanxion invested
substantial time and money to adopt industry standard processes
that include RUP, CMM, and ISO 9001:2000. It also set standards of quality
and maintainability that ensure a reasonable total cost of ownership
for the life of a product.

CMM Level 4
In 2004, Xpanxion, in both the US and India, achieved CMM Level
4 certification. CMM stands for Capability Maturity Model and
is administered by the independent Software Engineering Institute.
The SEI-CMM is a widely recognized measurement of the maturity
of a company’s processes and practices. Each level (1-5)
of CMM certification represents a different level of maturity,
with Level 4 being well beyond the scope of most companies.
Achieving Level 4 is something in which the Xpanxion team takes
great pride. It represents both our commitment to our client’s
success, as well as our ability to deliver products and services
that routinely exceed our client’s expectations. For our
client’s, confidence comes from knowing that an independent,
highly regarded, audit team, with a reputation for tough, unbending
standards, has awarded Xpanxion a level of maturity generally
reserved for companies with long histories of successful software
development projects. As a CMM Level 4 company, Xpanxion has demonstrated
its ability to define and adhere to well-structured processes
with measurable results that reflect ever-improving quality and
a high level of customer satisfaction. Level 4 also indicates
that roles are clearly defined, communication channels are open
and readily accessible, and that projects are closely managed
with the appropriate tools.
Xpanxion is currently working toward becoming CMM Level 5 compliant.

ISO 9001:2000 Certification
To define its fundamental processes, Xpanxion, documented
in great detail every process and procedure it uses according
the standards set by the ISO requirements. In 2000, Xpanxion received
full ISO 9001:2000 certification, attesting to its commitment to the
concept of having clearly defined processes.
