• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming
• Strong skills in Core Java , JSP
• Strong development experience in J2EE / Java 1.5 , Struts,  Spring, Hibernate, SOAP, XML technologies
• Good experience in Web Services.
• Good experience in Swing, GWT.
• Strong experience in Tomcat/JBoss/any other web server
• Strong Oracle/ MS SQL Server and database designing skills
• Excellent grasp of standard SDLC / Agile-Scrum development
• Good experience of using source control systems
• A natural communicator who can explain esoteric technical concepts in clear, plain English (both written and verbal)
• Should be able to explain at least one of his/her development assignments with reasoning; as to how it was designed, what controls were used and why

Desired

• Familiarity with Design Patterns, techniques
• Exposure to JBoss-Seam/ GWT / Flex is a big plus
